Sleeve Pattern

Written by , Posted in Finished Projects, Projects In The Make

In a recent post I mentioned that I was working on a sleeve pattern.  This past weekend I was able to continue with that experiment and finish my idea!  The outcome is so pleasing, but amazingly, I see that the sleeve needs to have more gathers.

Thank the Lord for Pinterest!  This is where I found the sleeve idea.

Couldn’t wait to start snipping away!

The pattern piece is 30″ long.

Interfacing was necessary on the inside of the sleeve to keep it from sagging.

I used covered buttons to give the dress a more custom look.

I can’t wait to have this dress modeled and added to the shop!

Another exciting thing is I purchased two new dress forms.  I am no longer limited to regular sizes for custom dresses online!

After moving to a new area, it seems that the Lord has opened up so many new ways to move forward with my sewing skills.  It has been quite an invigorating time of my life.  This is just the one of many blessings that He has brought my way.  Some blessings are in disguise, not realizing until later how He has been so faithful.  God is so sovereign in amazing ways!

For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
