One year has passed, and I look back and see more of God’s amazing grace in my life. Trials are difficult, but that is what God uses to shape us to become more like Christ.
In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. – 1 Peter 1:6-7
What amazes me, is the fire we had in our front yard looked dry and unappealing. As though it must have taken effort to put it out. But when spring came, the grass was greener than it was before. So are trials with Christ’s followers. They are hard, but afterward we draw closer to Christ, and our faith becomes ever so much stronger. Through them, I have realized more of the sin in my life and I see how much I need Christ’s saving grace.
I can do all things through him who strengthens me. – Philippians 4:13
Then God gives us seasons of rest.

O Lord, you have brought up my soul from Sheol;
you restored me to life from among those who go down to the pit. – Psalm 30:3
I’m thankful that the Lord chose to save my life. This earthly body will die, but no human being can kill my soul.
I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. – John 10:28
The Lord has blessed me and my family abundantly this year. I can’t thank Him enough for everything He is doing in our lives!
May the grace of the Lord be with you!

I have already come;
‘Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.”
