Wedding Dress

Written by , Posted in Finished Projects, Past Projects

Within last 2 months, I had the privilege to make a wedding dress for a customer who was getting married in China.  We spent time going back and forth on which lace to purchase, and she settled on a lace that I had my eye on as well!  After her wedding, she sent me a few photos of the dress.  I was so thrilled!icm_fullxfull.62324537_lmig4gph4wg848osw8ss

I am so happy for you both, Anastasia!  It was so good to get to know you during the months that we worked together!  I’m going to miss working with you.

Engagement Dress

Written by , Posted in Past Projects

Back in February I received a request to make a dress for an engagement photoshoot.  Krys was such a wonderful person to work with in getting measurements and receiving input on the gown.  The other day she sent me photos of the dress and I was so thrilled to see how the photoshoot turned out!  The dress looked so beautiful on her!

Regency Lace

Written by , Posted in Finished Projects, Lace, Past Projects

After making this dress a couple times for my Etsy shop, it seemed right to do a blog post.  It all started with a simple custom order requesting ruffles in the neckline.  From there, I continued to experiment with different fabrics and colors.  I still have lots of ideas for different designs, just a little different than this one.

One of these days I will have to do a tutorial on how to add the ruffles to the sleeves.  It does take a little extra time but it was all very worth it.  The more time to work also means more time to reflect on God’s Word.

There is one verse I have been pondering since the new year.  After learning so many things in 2014 it has such an new meaning to me.

…yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified.

Galatians 2:16

Have a splendid week!
